The fossil fuels required to ship mass amounts of fruits and vegetables across the country, or world, are becoming detrimental to our environment, and supporting local farmers is more important than ever.
So put down that grocery store peach and run by your local farmer’s market or nursery to invest in your local community’s food. It’s cheaper than you think, and you’ll make a great relationship with the people who are providing your community with local eats!
