It is not a monopoly of a specific business, rather a monopoly of all things that bring in profit. At some point a company diversifies beyond what is normal. I can see a bike company diversifying and making sprockets, but not pasta sauce also. Laws need to define this.
If the koch bros were split into 1000 smaller independent companies, they would provide more jobs and carry less power to bully or puppet our governing officials.

Economics 101 tells us that an industry imposing large costs on third parties should be required to “internalize” those costs — that is, to pay for the damage it inflicts, treating that damage as a cost of production. No industry should be held harmless from its impacts on the environment and the nation’s infrastructure.
Yet what the (coal/oil/gas & chemical) industries and its defenders demand is, of course, precisely that it be let off the hook for the damage it causes.’ Paul Krugman (And most of that damage is long-term and currently hidden – but it will rear its head. do the GP companies manufacture any private label/store brand products? is there a database that might give this information?
It is a gamble you take every time you buy gasoline. Has this gasoline been refined at a Koch plant or has it run through a Koch pipeline? Gasoline is gasoline until a company sticks a label on it. No company makes it easy to trace. Same as the asphalt you drive on, cement you walk on, or the box your amazon order came in, probably Koch. I know the Kochs sell to private labels/store brands but this info is not easily had. I have looked long and have yet to find. A retailer can manufacture goods under its own label, re-brand private label goods, or outsource the manufacture of store-brand items – often to the same manufacturers that produce the brand-labeled goods. One way to find out would be to inquire at the store as to the source of their store brand or buy only labels/brands you know are independent of the Kochs.

I’m going to try not to support these guys, but from the list, it seems clear that the only real way to effect them is to bring about some pressure from elected officials via changed laws such as what FDR did, and the likely hood of that given the cowards that rule now is next to ZIP.

No, Koch Industries does not own the Target Corporation. It does appear that Target does like to donate to Republicans though: #1 donor to Michele Bachmann. But Target is different from the Kochs in that it is a publicly held corporation that generously donates around 5 percent of its pre-tax operating profit — a large part of that money goes to public schools and the communities in which it operates. Although of course there are many issues with big box stores, but another topic.
I will not buy Koch Brothers paper products.
I will not knowingly buy any product produced by a Koch Brothers industry; if I find out later that I inadvertently have bought from them I shall return the product whenever possible.

I have known about these clowns for awhile, but thanks to this webpage, I will now for starters boycot all GP products and encourage others to do so.
