Very willing participants...
Andrey Pavlov spends hours creating scenes for the ants to inhabit.
Mr. Pavlov says his prop-making skills come from his background in theatre.
Mr. Pavlov said the trick is knowing how ants work, generally in a line and following each other. A little redirection and they’ll go where you want.

Just a little coaxing.

I’ve watched the short film Diamonds For My Ants at the GreenScreen festival some years ago and am a great fan of your photography ever since. Both because of the hilarious little stories they show and because I appreciate it so much that you don’t catch the ants and photograph them in a sterile studio but instead within their natural surroundings and without doing them any harm.
That’s so seldom the case when animals are involved in photography.
All the best, Phania
