The rainwater pillow is a nifty invention that collects rainwater from the roof of a building, then stores it under a deck or another unused horizontal space around the house.

With the severe drought that much of the U.S. and the rest of the world faced this summer fresh in everyone’s minds, rainwater collection might finally take off. After a drought, soil often won’t absorb rain very well, even if the rain is gentle. Much of the rain washes away and must be funneled through storm drains and out to a river or sea. Keeping that water around is a challenge, but one worth taking up.

Many rainwater storage devices take up a large amount of space, or maybe family members think they’re unsightly. The rainwater pillow solves both problems. It’s smaller and it fits underneath structures like porches or decks.

    Mosquitoes are not a concern with The Original Rainwater Pillow system. The is no air inside the pillow so mosquitos cannot complete their life cycle !
