Florida Grocery Stores Recall Spinach Dip for Listeria

Publix Super Markets in Florida has issued a recall for spinach dip, as it may be contaminated withΒ Listeria monocytogenes.Β

The affected dips are 16 ounce containers of spinach dip with a UPC of 41415-00062 and a use by date of OCT 10.

The contamination was found during a routine test by Publix. You can return the product for a full refund.

According to US Food Safety, “the spinach dip was sold in Publix grocery stores in Florida. The following counties in Florida didΒ notΒ receive recalled product: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee. Publix stores in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee are not involved with this recall.”

This is a bit unnerving after the news of a listeria outbreak in cantaloupe, which has already claimed the lives of several people.
