Fewer People Using More Water

More than one billion people use less than five gallons of water each day. The average American uses about 152 gallons per day. That’s quite a difference.

That five gallons of water used by each of those one billion people is also likely to be contaminated with bacteria or chemicals. The cost of accessing clean water is often out of reach of those people – if it’s even available.

The numbers on the infographic can be depressing, but we can help by funding the building of wells in places that have no clean drinking water.
