The Resident Evil series of zombie shoot-’em-up games has spawned several sequels and movies that have grossed over $900 million. With that- and the success of AMC’s the Walking Dead– there’s no reason to believe that new Resident Evil TV series wouldn’t do well too. Right?

That’s what producers at Constantin Films are hoping, anyway, as the company plans to move forward with a small-screen series that pits a non-Milla Jovovich played “Alice” against horde after horde of zombies in a post-apocalyptic dystopia that was created when the Umbrella Corporation’s T-virus got loose above ground.

I mean, come on- there were SIX movies. How do you not already know that!?

Geek.com is expecting to see the Resident Evil series to land on Amazon or Netflix sometime in late 2015/early 2016, after the release of Resident Evil’s 7th movie, “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” (currently in production with Mortal Kombat/Event Horizon director Paul W. S. Anderson at the helm) that summer. We’ll update you with more Alice/T-virus goodness as we have it. Until then- stay tuned, I guess? And try not to die from, you know, the Ebola.
